Go To Belize with Joy in February 2027!

Many of you have traveled or wished to travel with me to Belize over the years. In 2027 you have the incredible opportunity to go with Joy Kemna to Miss B’s village to learn and experience a living Yucatec Maya healing tradition with Miss B’s daughter, Ms. Thelma Waight!

For those of you who don’t know her, Joy is a dynamic and engaging educator, community herbalist, gardener, medicine maker, and mother to three incredible humans. Her lifelong relationship with plants, rooted in hands-on experience, deep study, and a reverence for traditional healing practices, continues to shape both her herbal practice and her teaching. Joy first traveled to Belize with me in 2007 to study with Miss Beatrice Waight. Through the years, Joy has been an integral part of the Full Circle endeavor, remaining connected with Miss Beatrice’s children and grandchildren.

Joy is also bilingual, with a background in cultural anthropology. She leads experiential herb classes in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, brings groups to study within Ms. Beatrice’s lineage in the vibrant jungles of Belize, and teaches full-time as a bilingual educator in a dual-language elementary school. A perpetual student of healing traditions, languages, plants, Joy approaches the world with deep gratitude and curiosity and is a wonderful guide for those ready to visit Miss B’s village.
